University of the Family is a non-profit organization, ministering to marriages and families around the world in 90 countries and 35 languages. Our fundamental course, Married for Life, is a fourteen-week course for couples that is conducted in small groups in homes. U of F was founded in 1983 by Mike and Marilyn Phillipps. Currently there are over 20,000 U of F leaders leading groups in their homes around the world.

What happens when a spouse dies? Very often the remaining partner feels isolated and lonely. Old friends often forget to include them in activities they once enjoyed together. Sometimes it seems that no one knows how they feel, but there are people who understand.
University of the Family has a branch of ministry called Widows and Widowers International. We provide communication and support for those whose spouse has died.
